Fred R. Weil
Fred R. Weil was born and raised in Queens, New York and moved to Leesburg, Florida in 2000, after taking an early retirement at age 57.
Fred is a 53 year, 3rd generation Mason. His grandfather was raised in 1921 and his father was raised in 1929. His masonic journey began when he joined Springfield Gardens DeMolay at the age of 14. After becoming the DeMolay Master Councilor, as was traditional at Springfield Gardens Lodge, on his 21st birthday he joined the lodge and was raised by his father. Upon moving to Florida he joined Leesburg Masonic Lodge #58 F&AM, the Ocala Scottish Rite, Bahia Shriners, and the Lake County Shrine Club.
Since joining Bahia Shriners, he has served as Bahia Circus Dad Chairman, and Bahia Children’s Director. Fred is Housing Co-Chairman for Imperial Sessions 2017 and 2018.
Fred is the Past President of the Lake County Shrine Club, Past Chief of the Lake County Bahia Fire Brigade, Past President of the Lake County Shrine Golf League, and 2 times Paper Crusade Chairman, and chaired numerous Fund Raisers for the Lake County Shrine Club.
As a personal note, Fred is married to his wife Erika for 53 years, and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
After earning his Bachelor of Business Management Degree Summa Cum Laude, and his Master of Business Administration Degree Summa Cum Laude, he rose to the position of Vice President of Operations of the United States largest electrical contractor. Fred was responsible for the daily operations of 2,600 electricians in 7 cities and 2 countries, and oversaw the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
Fred has joined the Shrine Treasurers Association.
